A roundup of nut-free bites and balls that are allergy-friendly and perfect for snacking on! Pop any of these delicious treats into your mouth for sweet satisfaction without worrying about nuts.
In a world where nut allergies are on the rise (in children AND adults), it can be hard to find delicious, homemade snack options that don’t include nuts, especially regarding the ever-so-popular bites and balls.
Usually based from dried fruit and nuts, these bites of delight are an accident waiting to happen for anyone who’s allergic. So whether you or your kids have allergies (or if they even go to a nut-free school!), finding easy, packable, healthy snacks can be an endless, usually futile, search.
Nut-Free Options DO Exist!
That’s where I come in! Being a nut lover myself, I often make recipes that include them. However, I also have quite a handful of high protein, vegan, gluten-free, tasty ones that don’t include any nuts (and in some cases no seeds either!). Inspired by some of my most popular nut-free recipes, I decided to do a whole roundup featuring 19 Nut-Free Bites and Balls recipes. Most are raw, vegan, and gluten-free too!
What these bites & balls lack in nuts, they make up for in flavor, nutrient density, and sweet satisfaction! Check out the ultimate nut-free snack list below…

Thanks for including my recipe, girl! All of these look seriously delicious!
Great roundup, Kaila!! Thankfully I don’t have any food allergies. My heart goes out to those who are allergic to things like chocolate, ahhh!
Lovely ideas – I really need to make some more bites and balls as they make great snacks.
You are just straight – up BALLIN’!
All things round, easy, and delicious right here!! I’m a huge fan of the snack ball thing, but nut-free ones are hard to come by. Laura’s Salted Caramel Mint Chocolate ones look so good, I gotta try those soon 🙂 Thanks for including me in this yumminess!
No food allergies, but I love the variety that these provide! I just ate my remaining energy bites over the weekend, so it’s time to make some more! I’ll be making a few of these 🙂
I’ve had Kristy’s mint chocolate chip bites recipe on my to-make list for quite a while! I’m lactose- and soy-intolerant, but no nut allergies (thank goodness!) 🙂 Nonetheless, sometimes I feel like too many nuts sit a little heavy in the stomach and I need a recipe like one of these! Great roundup!
The variety here is nice. Would like to try some and change up our usual snack or lunch routine. ~Tay
Great round up! Thanks for including my recipe. With a little creativity, anyone with a food allergy can find some great treats. This round up makes it easier for those with nut allergies. Thanks.
Great post. I def going to have to try the zucchini and salted caramel ones!

I’m so glad I don’t have any food allergies; I don’t know what I’d do if I did. I was looking for a ball recipe last night to use with my protein powder but I don’t have any peanut butter, bananas, dates, etc. to make them goey and stick together.
Fun selection! Not sure where to start! Maybe I’ll work my way from top to bottom!
Thanks
Michelle
everything looks yuum indeed :). Great to know that I can try many things now 🙂
They all look great – Thanks for sharing on the What’s for Dinner link up!

Thanks. I can’t eat most tree nuts. This helps. I do prefer the more savory to sweet of these!
Thanks for sharing at the What’s for dinner party!
We’ll be making these this weekend! Thank you!
Love these! I’ve made them many times for the kids’ lunches and usually end up eating at least half of them at work. Great recipe!
There are amazing! I confess to stealing a few everytime I serve them to my kids….
